Royal Lochnagar Selected Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Old Bottle)

Royal Lochnagar is an historic distillery situated on the edge of the Balmoral estate, producing whisky on a tiny scale despite being part of Diageo’s large distillery portfolio. Much of its whisky is released as single malt, although it is also a key component of high-end blended whiskies, such as Johnnie Walker Blue Label.This bottle is the old wooden box presentation of Royal Lochnagar’s prestigious Selected Reserve, which was phased out around 2008. A very drinkable and deluxe dram, with a high proportion of long-aged sherried malt in the mix. Selected Reserve is a good after-dinner option, especially with a medium-weight cigar.
