Having slumbered in a single, first-fill sherry hogshead for almost half a century, this venerable Glenlossie was bottled in the spring of 2019 for Gordon & MacPhail’s Private Collection at 47.6% ABV. Notes of ancient, polished wood glide amongst and support bittersweet cocoa flavours, hints of rich coffee and ribbons of soft, malty sweetness. A dignified dram of impressive depth, limited to just 91 bottles worldwide.
